The Old Stone Bridge is a small bridge made out of stone. The bridge is located near a large wooded area.

History

Some workmen were once working on the bridge when they were warned of Toad and his runaway trucks. They diverted the runaway train onto an old siding beside the bridge, where the tracks had sunk into a muddy pond.[1]

Appearances

Trivia

  • The number of tracks underneath the bridge is inconsistent:
    • In Busy Going Backwards, the workmen were shown building a second track, however in Percy and the Haunted Mine, the bridge still runs over only one track.
    • In the eighth series learning segment How Does Thomas Get to the Timber Yard?, a third track is added.
  • In an eighth series learning segment, the bridge has rails running above it.
  • The model of the bridge was also used for the Stone Bridge over Narrow Gauge Runby, as well as miscellaneous bridges in the fifth series episode Sir Topham Hatt's Holiday and the ninth series episode Duncan and the Old Mine.
    • The bridge model was also recreated in CGI, to be used for the Stone Bridge over Narrow Gauge Runby.
