Bridge Bother is a rhyming magazine story.

Plot

The Diesel has a mighty load and brags to 'Arry and Bert that it is no problem for him and he does not need their help.

When the Diesel pulls up by a bridge, an engineer tells him to turn back as the bridge is weak due to a crack. Then, 'Arry and Bert arrive and, being so light, are able to split the Diesel's long train in half and carry on the rest of the journey.
