BoCo and the Trucks is a magazine story.

Plot

BoCo is a very busy engine who can usually be found pulling trucks to and from the harbour. One day, BoCo is taking coal trucks to the main station. These trucks are being especially troublesome today and begin spilling their coal around.

The stationmaster is annoyed by the mess and BoCo wishes his trucks would behave. Thomas arrives and asks BoCo what is wrong, so BoCo explains. Thomas states that the trucks will probably get in trouble with The Fat Controller, which makes BoCo feel better.

BoCo tries his best to take the trucks across the island, despite their mischief. He is very relieved when the train finally is uncoupled and is about to go and have a rest before his next run. Suddenly, a loud crack followed by a loud woosh is heard. Two of the oldest trucks in the train have fallen apart and their coal has spilled everywhere. BoCo fears he will be blamed but The Fat Controller understands it was the naughty trucks' fault for bumping around too much.
