A Special Story About Terence is a rhyming magazine story.
Plot
One day, Farmer Collett reaches a ford on his horse and cart. Thinking it is merely a puddle, the farmer starts to cross, but gets stuck in the middle. Farmer Collett calls to Terence, who is in a nearby field, to help him.
As the tractor arrives at the ford, a crowd gathers to see the rescue operation. The horses pull and Terence pushes the cart of plums until the farmer and his horses are clear of the water. Terence then jokingly asks the grateful farmer who is going to pull him out.
