“While I speed along miles per hour, you just drift along at knots, you dinghys are just slow boats and the same goes for yachts!”
― Duck

A Special Story About Duck is a rhyming magazine story.

Plot

Duck spots a worn-out little dinghy and proposes a race to the big harbour. Duck takes great delight in pointing out that he can speed along at miles per hour, while dinghies and yachts merely drift along at knots. Duck speeds along, but he does not realise the little dinghy is on his way for repairs and is being pulled along by Gordon. The dinghy laughs and teases Duck as he passes.

Characters

Trivia

  • Despite not having a face, the dinghy actually has a speaking role.

Goofs

  • Gordon's lamp is black in the fifth illustration. In the same illustration, the lettering on Duck's side seems to be missing.
