Diesel's Special Delivery is a magazine story illustrated using photographs from the CGI television series.
Plot
James always gets to pull special specials and have the children cheer him for. Diesel is delivering slate to fix the school roof; no-one is cheering him. Diesel decides that in order to make the children cheer for him, he must be pulling a very special load. He finds Thomas and helps him deliver his load of shiny red apples, but still no-one cheers for him. Then Diesel meets Rosie who is pulling flower trucks. Diesel now decides to help Rosie, but still no-one claps or cheers for him. Soon the Fat Controller arrives, very cross with Diesel. He asks Diesel where his slate for the school roof is. Eventually, Diesel brings the slate to the school, where all the children cheer for him! Diesel has never felt happier.
