Culdee's Story is a short magazine story.
Sir Handel gets into trouble and is sent to the Culdee Fell Railway. Culdee and Alaric try to teach Sir Handel about being really useful and not causing trouble. Sir Handel learns the story of Godred and promises to behave from now on.
- Culdee, Alaric and Godred have buffers and straight boilers.
- Sir Handel has a different track gauge than Culdee and Alaric. They should not be on the same track.
- Sir Handel and his basis, Sir Haydn, were not built to go up mountains, as stated in Mountain Engines that "an engine's wheels would slip", unless "they have teeth which fit into a rack rail."
