Aside from the Skarloey Railway engines that work there, the Blue Mountain Quarry is home to a selection of road vehicles.
The Steam Shovels
Template:Infobox character There are a number of steam shovels that work at the quarry. They are painted blue and orange and have the quarry logo on their sides.
The Dumper Trucks
Template:Infobox character A few dumper trucks work at the quarry. Some are coloured orange and blue while others are painted almost exactly like Max and Monty.
The Tankers
Template:Infobox character A couple of tankers can be seen at the quarry. These are presumably bringing fuel for the machines that work at the quarry. They are painted orange and blue and bear the quarry logo on both their cabs and their tankers.
The Soft-sided Lorries
Template:Infobox character These Soft-sided Lorries are just like the normal Soft-sided Lorries, except they are coloured blue and orange and carry the Blue Mountain Quarry logo on their sides.
The Bulldozers
Template:Infobox character The Bulldozers usually work at the spot where the Skarloey Railway engines tip their loads of slate ready for it to go into the crusher. It is the job of the bulldozers to push the slate from the drop-off point into the crusher. Like the other vehicles, they are painted blue and orange and carry the quarry logo on their sides.
One of the bulldozer's number plates is "GLV 0914".
The Flatbed Trucks
