Plot

It was unusually warm on Sodor as Thomas steamed along his branch line. At the next station, Thomas pulled up at the water tower for a drink. Bertie pulled up at a nearby bus stop and teased Thomas for being so hot. Thomas and Bertie argued about rails and roads until Thomas' tank was filled. Down the line, there was trouble for Thomas; the sun had bent the rails. Thomas had to chuff very slowly over the bent rails, whilst Bertie roars past; roads don't buckle in the sun! Later, Thomas had to return to the broken rails with engineers to fix it. He then saw Bertie stuck in a traffic jam with clouds of steam gushing from his radiator. Now, Bertie wished that he hadn't teased Thomas earlier.
