A Bright Day! is a short magazine story.
Plot
As Thomas puffs past a country fair, he can see lots of bright colours. A balloon seller has balloons of all colours including blue and gold until they are all sold. Thomas can also see a brass band marching around in a uniform of scarlet and blue and dancers with colourful dresses and bells on their shoes. Then Thomas sees a clowns's bright trousers and is sure that they will shine all night.
